PFAST helps to analyze, rationalize, simplify and modify material flow in any high-mix low-volume manufacturing facility, such as a shipyard, a machine shop, a forge shop, a fabrication shop, a steel service center, a flexible manufacturing cell, a multi-tasking machine, a tool crib, a parts kitting department, etc.  The software can be used to implement all four stages of PFA (Production Flow Analysis) — Factory Flow Analysis, Group Analysis, Line Analysis, Tooling Analysis.  

 

Now for the good news!  After nearly two decades of successfully using PFAST in a variety of manufacturing sectors in industry, it has become clear that PFAST can be used to rationalize and simplify material flows in any work system such as a hospital,  a grocery store, a kitchen, a custom print shop,  — the sky is the limit!  

The only requirement for putting PFAST to profitable use is that the material flow in the work system must be captured in the three spreadsheets that constitute the PFAST Input File!
